It is single threaded. FineReader itself is single threaded but multiple instances may run in parallel. Within docWORKS[e] it may happen that OCR runs in parallel (called from service and client in the same time). Anyway the license distributed with docWORKS[e] is limited to run on a single core, even it is multi-threaded.
